The full terms are set out below.

1. Quotations

An initial written quotation is provided following one free site visit and is valid for 30 days unless stated otherwise.

Quotes are based on the information available at the time of pricing. If additional work or unforeseen issues arise, a revised cost will be discussed and agreed before proceeding.

1A. Site Visits & Additional Quotations

An initial site visit and written quotation are provided free of charge for first-time customers.

If further site visits are requested before a deposit is paid, a charge of £100 per additional visit will apply.

If revised or additional quotations are requested before a deposit is paid, a fee of £50 per additional quotation will apply.

Once a deposit has been paid and the project is confirmed, any further reasonable visits or revisions required as part of the agreed project will not be charged.

2. Booking & Deposits

A deposit of 50% of the quoted price is required to secure a booking date.

The remaining balance is payable on completion of the agreed works, unless otherwise confirmed in writing.

3. Payments

Payment is due upon completion. Late payment may result in recovery action where necessary.

4. Customer Responsibilities

The customer agrees to:

  • Provide clear and safe access to the work area

  • Remove fragile or valuable items

  • Arrange electrical and plumbing work where required

Lee Valley Carpentry & Joinery Ltd does not carry out electrical or plumbing works unless agreed in writing.

5. Customer-Supplied Materials

Where materials are supplied by the customer (e.g. kitchens or doors), we are not responsible for manufacturing defects or supplier delays.

6. Variations

Any changes or additional work requested after acceptance of the quote may result in additional charges. These will always be discussed and agreed first.

7. Inspection & Completion

The customer should inspect the work on completion and notify us promptly of any concerns so they can be addressed.

8. Cancellations

If a confirmed booking is cancelled, deposits may be retained to cover time reserved and materials purchased. Partial refunds may be considered at our discretion where appropriate.

9. Liability

All work is carried out with reasonable skill and care.

We hold appropriate public liability insurance.

We are not responsible for pre-existing defects or issues not reasonably visible at the time of quotation.

Nothing in these terms limits liability where it cannot legally be excluded.

10. Complaints

We go out of our way to ensure customers are fully satisfied with the work we carry out. In the unlikely event that something does not meet expectations, please contact us as soon as possible so we can put it right promptly.

As a Which? Trusted Trader, we follow a formal complaints procedure and offer access to independent dispute resolution where necessary.

11. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
