My name is Stepan, founder of Lee Valley Carpentry & Joinery. I’m a fully qualified, highly experienced carpenter in Hertfordshire, offering honest advice, quality workmanship and a hands-on, personal service.
ABOUT ME
I’ve worked in the construction industry for over 18 years. Early on, I explored different trades before discovering that carpentry was where my skills - and my passion - truly belong.
Although I originally qualified as a plumber, I made the decision at the age of 25 to start again from the ground up and properly learn the craft of carpentry. I was fortunate to train under an exceptional mentor who taught me not only technical skill, but the importance of perseverance, adaptability and pride in doing things properly.
For me, carpentry is more than a trade, it’s a way of thinking. When you care about the details and take pride in your work, the possibilities are endless. I bring that mindset to every project, no matter the size.
